The Superfund Basic Research Program website lists overview and details of research associated with Superfund sites. Some pertinent studies: the effect of perchloroethylene in the drinking water and breast cancer risk in residents of Cape Cod, Massachusetts (PI: Dr. Ann Aschegrau); the relationship of serum polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB's) to breast cancer risk (PI: Dr. David Ozonoff); and studies at SUNY-Albany to assess the health effects and cancer incidence / mortality in members of the Akwesasne Mohawk community exposed to PCB's, p,p'-DDE, mirex, and HCB (PI: Dr. Maria J. Schymura).
