Active Ingredients

114 active ingredients are listed in the Turf Pesticides and Cancer Risk database.

Each active ingredient listed here meets two criteria:

  1. It is an active ingredient in one or more turf and lawn care pesticide products registered at some time for use in New York State; and
  2. The cancer-causing potential of the chemical, independent from any products it appears in, has been evaluated by the USEPA.

The USEPA risk management decision documents completed for some chemicals provide additional information on the potential cancer risk of the chemical when it is a constituent in a registered pesticide product.
